Cognizant is seeking a Senior Mainframe Developer to design, enhance, and support healthcare claims applications that enable accurate and efficient processing. You will work with business analysts, QA, project managers, and offshore/onshore engineers to deliver reliable mainframe solutions using COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM, CICS, and MQ.

Qualifications
- 8+ years hands-on experience developing mainframe applications with COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM, CICS, MQ.
- Experience with healthcare claims adjudication processes and related workflows.
- Knowledge of code migration and release management including environment promotion and backout procedures.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills for complex issues.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, debug, and maintain healthcare claims applications using COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM, CICS, and MQ.
- Translate business requirements into scalable, efficient mainframe solutions for claims adjudication workflows.
- Troubleshoot production issues and optimize application performance; conduct code reviews and implement fixes.
