Job summary

Keylent is seeking a Sr Mainframe Developer to design, develop and deliver healthcare claims solutions on mainframe platforms. The role is remote and requires strong COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM, CICS and MQ skills, plus experience with claims adjudication processes.

Qualifications

8+ years of experience in mainframe development.
Strong expertise in COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM, CICS and MQ.
Experience with Healthcare Claims Adjudication processes.
Experience with code migration and release management processes.
Excellent analytical, troubleshooting and production support skills.
Strong communication and collaboration with stakeholders and offshore teams.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement technical solutions for Healthcare Claims application by transforming business requirements into scalable, efficient, and compliant mainframe systems.
Design, develop, test, debug, and maintain mainframe claims applications using COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM, CICS, and MQ following established coding standards and best practices.
Collaborate with business analysts, QA teams, project managers, and support teams to deliver high-quality solutions and ensure successful project execution.
Provide technical leadership and mentoring to offshore team members, coordinate onsite-offshore activities, and act as a key contact for technical issue resolution.
Troubleshoot production issues, optimize application performance, conduct code reviews, and support SIT, UAT, production deployments, and post-implementation activities.
