Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in Mainframe application development.
• Hands-on COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM, CICS and MQ experience.
• Experience with Healthcare Claims adjudication processes.
• Experience with code migration and release management across environments.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience supporting SIT, UAT, production deployments, and post-production validation.
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies.
• Excellent communication and collaboration with business stakeholders and offshore teams.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, debug, and maintain Healthcare Claims applications using COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM, CICS, and MQ.
• Translate business requirements into scalable, efficient mainframe technical solutions.
• Analyze existing applications and implement enhancements, fixes, and performance improvements.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts, QA teams, Project Managers, Production Support, and business stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
• Participate in application design, technical discussions, code reviews, unit testing, integration testing, and defect resolution.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
• Support application performance optimization and adherence to coding standards.
• Manage and support code migration and release activities across environments.
• Support SIT, UAT, production deployments, post-implementation validation, and backout procedures.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to offshore development team members.
• Coordinate onsite/offshore development activities and serve as a key technical point of contact for issue resolution.
• Ensure solutions meet business, technical, security, compliance, and operational requirements.
• Contribute to Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, technical discussions, and continuous improvement.
