TM Floyd & Company—Core Commercial Systems is seeking a hands-on Developer III for Mainframe COBOL in a hybrid role near Columbia, SC. You will support mission-critical healthcare claims processing, spanning requirements analysis, design, coding, testing, and production support.

The ideal candidate brings COBOL/JCL/DB2/CICS proficiency, strong troubleshooting skills, and experience across the full development lifecycle in a healthcare setting.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field is required.
4+ years of application development, systems testing, or related experience.
2 years of job-related experience plus an associate degree in a related field acceptable as alternative.
4+ years of experience in COBOL/JCL/DB2/CICS environments.

Responsibilities

Perform analysis, design, development, testing, debugging, and maintenance of mainframe COBOL applications.
Develop and maintain JCL processes and batch jobs.
Develop DB2 SQL, access databases, and troubleshoot performance issues.
Develop and support CICS transactions and online applications.
Analyze production issues, determine root causes, and implement resolutions.
Collaborate with team members and business partners to implement modifications.
