Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Senior Mainframe DB2 DBA to support Db2 z/OS and IDMS environments, optimize performance, and drive automation across critical systems. You will collaborate with development, infrastructure, and operations teams to improve reliability, security, and efficiency.

You will participate in a 24x7 on‑call rotation and contribute to disaster recovery, audits, and production support while guiding DB2 upgrades and migrations in large-scale mainframe environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field.
• 5+ years Db2 for z/OS DBA experience with production support.
• Experience with Db2 tools: OMEGAMON, Db2 utilities including LOAD/RELOAD/REORG.
• Advanced SQL tuning, access path analysis, and index management.
• Experience with JCL, job scheduling, and 24x7 on-call support.

Responsibilities

• Administer Db2 z/OS and IDMS databases in production and non-production.
• Tune SQL, analyze access paths, implement index recommendations.
• Develop automation to improve database administration and legacy support.
• Manage backup, recovery, replication, and DR testing activities.
• Support Db2 upgrades, migrations, RSU maintenance and utilities.
