CVS Health seeks a Senior Mainframe DB2 Database Administrator (DBA) to support Db2 for z/OS and IDMS environments, optimize performance, and lead automation initiatives. You will work with development, infrastructure, and support teams to improve reliability, scalability and security for mission-critical systems.

The role covers upgrades, migrations, DR readiness, on-call production support, and audit involvement in a large mainframe setting.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on Db2 for z/OS DBA experience including design, maintenance and production support.
• 3+ years with Db2 Administration Tools, Query Monitor, OMEGAMON, and Db2 utilities like LOAD/UNLOAD/RUNSTATS/REORG.
• 3+ years of advanced SQL performance tuning, access path analysis and index management in Db2 z/OS.
• 3+ years of JCL development, DBA job scheduling, and 24x7 production on-call support.
• 1+ year designing or supporting database replication in large enterprise environments.

Responsibilities

• Administer and support Db2 z/OS and IDMS databases across production and non-production environments.
• Optimize database performance through SQL tuning, index recommendations, and RUNSTATS.
• Develop and implement automation to improve DBA processes and legacy support.
• Manage backup, recovery, replication, and disaster recovery activities and documentation.
• Support Db2 function level upgrades, version migrations, and utility execution.
• Respond to database requests, changes, audits, and incidents while on 24x7 on-call.
• Provide technical consultation and knowledge transfer to development and infrastructure teams.
