The role emphasizes deep Db2 z/OS expertise, SQL performance tuning, and production support in large mainframe environments, including on‑call rotation and audit support.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on Db2 for z/OS DBA experience including design, maintenance, performance tuning, backup/recovery.
• 3+ years with Db2 Administration Tools (OMEGAMON, SPUFI) and utilities such as LOAD, UNLOAD, REORG.
• 3+ years advanced SQL tuning, access path analysis, index management in Db2 z/OS.
• 3+ years JCL development, DBA job scheduling, 24x7 production on-call support.
• 1+ year experience in database replication in complex environments.

Responsibilities

• Administer and support enterprise Db2 z/OS and IDMS databases across production and non-production environments.
• Optimize performance through SQL tuning, RUNSTATS, REORG, and index recommendations.
• Develop automation to improve DBA processes and legacy support.
• Manage backup, recovery, replication, and disaster recovery activities.
• Support Db2 upgrades, migrations, and on‑call incidents with cross‑functional teams.
