Job summary

Jabil is seeking a Lead Engineer for Low Voltage Switchgear in Prince George, Virginia. You will lead mechanical design from concept through production release, ensuring safety, reliability, and manufacturability while coordinating with global teams and customers.

The role requires 10+ years in mechanical engineering, with LV switchgear experience, strong CAD skills, and knowledge of UL/IEC standards. On-site collaboration is expected, with travel up to 20% as needed.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
10+ years of mechanical engineering experience including LV switchgear.
Technical leadership on mechanical engineering execution from concept through production release.
Experience with 3D CAD and manufacturability considerations.
Familiarity with UL/IEC/NEMA standards and DFx concepts.

Responsibilities

Lead mechanical design and architecture of LV switchgear and power distribution equipment.
Translate customer requirements into engineering specifications and deliverables.
Drive enclosure, busbar, and mechanical assemblies to meet safety and reliability goals.
Lead thermal design, CFD, and thermal validation activities.
Oversee design transfer, manufacturing readiness, and production ramp.
