Job summary

Jabil in Prince George, Virginia, seeks a Lead Engineer for Low Voltage (LV) Switchgear Electrical to guide electrical design, validation, and lifecycle support from concept to production release. This role leads technical decisions, ensures alignment with customer requirements, cost targets, and manufacturing capabilities, and works across global teams.

The ideal candidate will have 10+ years in electrical engineering with 5+ years in LV switchgear, strong leadership on NPIs, and expertise in

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field.
10+ years in electrical engineering with 5+ years in LV switchgear/power distribution.
Demonstrated technical leadership on multiple NPI programs.
Expert knowledge of UL/IEEE standards for LV equipment.
Experience with IEC 61850 and Modbus communications.
Proficiency with EPLAN or AutoCAD Electrical.
Experience with PLM systems like Windchill.
Experience with NRTL certifications and product testing.
Familiarity with OSHA safety requirements and LOTO.

Responsibilities

Lead electrical design and architecture of LV switchgear and power distribution systems.
Translate customer requirements into engineering specifications and deliverables.
Drive design transfer, manufacturing readiness, and production ramp support.
Interface with customers during reviews and issue resolution.
Lead DFx (DFM/DFT/DFR) and VAVE activities.
Oversee validation, testing, and certification activities.
