Job summary

Jabil is seeking a Principal Mechanical Design Engineer for LV switchgear in Prince George, Virginia. This senior role leads mechanical architecture, design governance, and lifecycle support across multiple programs, aligning with safety, quality, cost, and schedule targets.

You will drive validation strategies, CFD/thermal analyses, and DFM/ DFA initiatives while collaborating with global teams, manufacturing, and customers to deliver robust, scalable power distribution solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 12+ years of mechanical engineering experience in LV switchgear or power distribution.
• Senior technical leadership across multiple NPI programs and product platforms.

Responsibilities

• Own and govern the mechanical architecture for LV switchgear and power distribution equipment.
• Translate requirements into scalable specifications, roadmaps, and release deliverables.
• Lead design reviews, validation planning, and manufacturing readiness across programs.
