Blue Origin in Merritt Island, FL is seeking an experienced Structural/Mechanical Analyst to lead the analysis of the Blue Moon lunar lander components. You will perform structural and dynamic analyses of valves, tubing, mounts, and COPVs, focusing on safety, weight, and cost trade studies. Requirements include a B.S.

in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering and 5+ years of aerospace analysis using ANSYS or similar tools, plus Creo Pro/E proficiency and fatigue analysis. U.S.

Qualifications

• Passion for space exploration and safety.
• B.S. in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering is required.
• 5+ years of structural/dynamic analysis experience on pressurized systems.
• Experience delivering analyses with limited oversight in aerospace.
• Proficiency with fatigue analysis and fracture mechanics.

Responsabilités

• Conduct structural and dynamic analysis of valves, tubing, mounts, COPVs, etc.
• Identify opportunities for safety, cost, and weight improvements.
• Support configuration development and trade studies
• Review supplier analyses of COTS valves and support qualification efforts
• Maintain and report on work tasks, schedule, and status
