Job summary

Blue Origin LLC in the United States is seeking an experienced structural analyst to support the Lunar Permanence program. You will perform analyses of fluid and pressurized systems for lunar spacecraft, develop FEM studies, and validate results against tests, supporting configuration trades and tool development.

Applicants should have a 10+ year background in aerospace structural analysis, familiarity with ANSYS Workbench/NASTRAN, and experience with piping, cryogenics, and CREO.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in mechanical, aerospace, civil engineering or physics.
• 10+ years structural analysis experience in aerospace, energy or transportation.
• Experience with FEM software such as ANSYS Workbench and NASTRAN.

Responsibilities

• Analysis from concept to drawing release of fluid and/or pressurized systems designed for Lunar spacecraft applications
• Closed-form and Finite Element analyzes development, refinement, validation, and correlation to tests
• Strength checks and analysis report generation.
• Test and verification plan and report generation.
• Support configuration development and trade studies.
• Process and tool development.
