Job summary

Blue Origin in Seattle, WA is seeking a seasoned Mechanical/Aerospace Engineer to lead structural analyses for the Lunar Moon project. You will analyze valves, tubing, COPVs, and mounts, applying FEA tools to ensure safety and performance of pressurized systems.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years of aerospace analysis experience, proficiency in ANSYS and Creo, and a strong understanding of fatigue and fracture mechanics, contributing to design optimization and reliability.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years in structural and dynamic analysis of pressurized components and systems.
• Experience with FEA tools (ANSYS preferred) for structural, dynamic, and thermal analyses.
• Working knowledge of 3D CAD (Creo Pro/E, Pro/E Piping module preferred).
• Experience delivering analysis products with limited oversight in aerospace.

Responsibilities

• Conduct structural and dynamic analysis of valves, tubing, mounts, COPVs, etc.
• Identify safety, cost, and weight improvement opportunities.
• Support configuration development and trade studies.
• Review supplier analyses of COTS valves and support qualification efforts.
• Maintain and report on tasks, schedule, and status.
