Job summary

Blue Origin on Merritt Island, FL is seeking an experienced structural analyst to lead the analysis of the Blue Moon Mk2 Crew Lander components. You will conduct structural, dynamic, and fatigue analyses of valves, tubing, COPVs, and pressure systems to deliver validated results with limited oversight.

You will collaborate with fluids and propulsion teams to identify safety, weight, and cost improvements, participate in trade studies, and document progress. A B.S.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering (required).
• 5+ years of structural/dynamic analysis experience for pressurized components and systems (valves, tubing, piping, pressure vessels).
• Experience with FEA tools (ANSYS preferred) for structural, dynamic, and thermal analyses.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural/dynamic analysis of valves, tubing, mounts, COPVs, etc. with limited guidance.
• Identify safety, weight, and cost improvement opportunities; support trade studies.
• Review supplier analyses and support qualification efforts; maintain task schedules and status.
