Job summary

Axsome Therapeutics is seeking a field-based Long-Term Care (LTC) Specialty Account Manager to drive LTC commercial activities across an assigned geography, executing marketing strategies to support a successful product launch and meaningful patient impact.

As a disease-state expert and account champion, you will manage LTC care teams, build lasting relationships, navigate payer policies, and partner with cross-functional teams to expand patient access and optimize territory performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• 5+ years pharmaceutical/biotech sales experience, including 2+ years in LTC or account-based selling environments.
• Top 10% or Elite/President’s Club performance.
• Launch experience strongly preferred.
• Must live within the geography of the assigned territory.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, utilizing differential resources to achieve business goals.
• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently under accelerated timelines in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Drive LTC facility product adoption and relationships.
• Engage both virtual and live customer engagements.
• Develop territory business plans with account plans for LTC facilities to meet goals.
• Navigate payer policies and processes (eligibility, prior-authorization, appeals/denials).
• Maximize use of marketing resources to grow customer confidence in Axsome medications.
• Communicate territory activity accurately to management.
• Attend medical congresses and society meetings as needed.
