Job summary

Axsome Therapeutics is seeking a field-based Long-Term Care (LTC) Specialty Account Manager to drive LTC commercial activities across an assigned geography by executing marketing strategies to support a successful product launch and meaningful patient impact.

The SAM will be a disease-state expert and account advisor, providing territory plans, managing LTC care teams, and building relationships with psychiatrists, neurologists, nurses, and pharmacists to optimize access and outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Minimum 5 years pharmaceutical/biotech sales experience, including 2+ years in LTC or account-based selling environments.
• Launch experience strongly preferred.
• Must live within the geography of the assigned territory.

Responsibilities

• Drive product adoption in LTC facilities.
• Proficient in both virtual and live customer engagements.
• Effectively call on LTC Care teams and build relationships across the LTC ecosystem.
• Develop territory business plans inclusive of account plans for LTC facilities.
• Promote within approved labeling in a compliant manner.
• Develop strong customer relationships by understanding customer needs.
• Navigate payer policies and processes (eligibility, benefits verification, PA, denials).
• Understand market access and reimbursement processes for LTC patients.
