Final Mile in Oak Brook, IL seeks a Senior Operations Administrator to lead day-to-day admin for revenue and cost controls. You will invoice customers accurately and manage carrier payments, guiding the team through complex operations scenarios.

The role involves interpreting customer contracts, updating COGS, and auditing data in internal systems to ensure timely finances. Strong analytical and communication skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; 3-5 years of related work experience preferred.
• 7-8 years of profession-based experience in lieu of degree may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Resolve customer billing issues and research open shipments (AR/AP errors).
• Apply tariffs knowledge to research revenue/margin opportunities.
• Coordinate with internal groups to ensure timely and accurate data for costs and revenue.
• Audit revenue and costs for accuracy and calculate freight charges.
• Create freight billings and cost estimates as needed.
• Make independent financial decisions without manager approval.
• Manage payment of carrier freight bills within the proper accounting period.
• Communicate with internal/external contacts to resolve balances or delays.
• Provide exceptional customer service with carriers and internal customers.
• Develop solutions to automate billing and cost estimates.
• Track account KPIs and prepare client specific reports.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance

3-5 years of relevant work experience

7-8 years of profession-based experience in lieu of degree
