Job summary

Heniff Transportation is seeking a detail-oriented Billing Specialist in Oak Brook, IL to prepare customer invoices in line with our billing processes.

You will validate POs, BOLs, scale tickets and freight paperwork, mail daily invoices, maintain documentation, answer billing questions from customers, and support the Billing Manager with cross-functional tasks. A minimum of 2 years billing experience and MS Word/Excel/Outlook are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum 2 years billing experience
• Experience using MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and Great Plains software

Responsibilities

• Mail daily invoices.
• Index documents timely.
• Validate backup documents (POs, BOLs, scale tickets, freight paperwork) against the order.
• Manage rejected invoices from customers regarding emails.
• Review billing mailbox daily.
• Develop and maintain a professional relationship with team members.
• Work with customers to answer billing questions.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• Report to the Billing Manager.
