Sunset Transportation in Saint Louis, MO is seeking a Financial Operations Specialist to join our accounting team in a fast-paced, high-volume environment where accuracy, follow-up, and teamwork impact billing timelines, carrier payments, and customer satisfaction.

You will support billing, accounts payable, cash applications, and LTL processes, helping relieve backlogs and keep freight moving through cross-functional collaboration and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Experience in accounting operations, billing, or accounts payable.
• Strong Excel skills and comfort working in multiple systems.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• High attention to detail with strong organization and follow-through.

Responsibilities

• Post cash receipts accurately and timely to support billing flow.
• Assist with LTL billing and EDI order processing to reduce delays.
• Respond to carrier payment status inquiries via email and phone.
• Generate and deliver customer invoices.
• Enter and code payables; match and verify carrier settlements.
• Support backlog cleanup across the accounting team.
