Job summary

Meridian Senior Living is hiring a Sous Chef to ensure proper menu preparation in the absence of the Executive Chef and to supervise kitchen staff, fostering a positive environment for residents and team members.

The role requires ability to follow English instructions, plan and organize work, and prior experience in fine dining; culinary education and Serve Safe certification are a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Two to three years’ experience in a hotel, restaurant, or club with fine dining preferred.
• Culinary education and supervisory background desirable.
• Serve Safe Certification a plus

Responsibilities

• The Sous Chef is responsible for the proper preparation of the planned menu in the absence of the Executive Chef.
• Assists in the supervision of all kitchen employees, maintaining a positive, courteous work environment for staff and residents.
