Meridian Senior Living in Ventura, CA is seeking a Sous Chef to ensure the proper preparation of our planned menu in the absence of the Executive Chef. You will assist in supervising all kitchen staff and maintain a positive, courteous work environment for staff and residents.

The ideal candidate has 2–3 years of fine dining experience, strong English communication, and the ability to follow instructions, read recipes, and manage multiple priorities in a busy kitchen.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• English communication and arithmetic; follow instructions.
• 2–3 years’ experience in hotel/restaurant/club with fine dining preferred.
• Culinary education and supervisory background desirable.
• Serve Safe Certification a plus.
• Plan, organize, and interpret recipes and standards.
• Knowledge of kitchen equipment operations and maintenance.
• Excellent interpersonal and social skills with residents and staff.
