Job summary

Harmony Senior Services in Columbia, SC is seeking a Move-In Coordinator to assist new residents and families with the move-in process, including paperwork and residency agreement setup.

Key duties include ensuring all move-in documents are completed, calculating prorated rent, collecting move-in funds, coordinating apartment readiness, and guiding families through the transition. The role requires strong organization, data analysis, and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years in senior care preferred.
• Ability to analyze data and calculate monthly pro-rates for rent at move-in.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task and complete projects on time.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; proficient with computer programs.
• Must be able to lift, carry, and push up to 25lbs.

Responsibilities

• Ensure move-in paperwork is completed before move-in and provided to Health Care Coordinator.
• Complete residency agreement with resident or family.
• Calculate prorated monthly rent at move-in.
• Collect all move-in funds from resident.
• Prepare apartment for move-in.
• Inform managers about status of new move-ins or potential move-outs.
• Conduct community tours and answer inquiries when marketing is unavailable.
• Provide move-in paperwork for resident file setup.
• Follow up with new resident and family weekly for the first month.
