Job summary

Senior Lifestyle is seeking a Medication Technician to supervise self-administered medications in an assisted living setting. You will work under LPN/LVN/RN guidance, ensuring MARs and TARs are accurate and medications are stored properly.

You will provide personal care and basic nursing tasks, monitor vital signs and maintain records, while upholding safety and regulatory requirements. This role emphasizes teamwork and compassionate service to residents.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED or 1–3 months related experience
• 1+ month experience in senior living preferred
• Current Medication Technician certification per state regulations
• English proficiency to communicate with staff and residents
• Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Training and ability to follow policies and procedures

Responsibilities

• Supervise self-administered medication per MAR/TAR under supervision
• Count and sign narcotics with approved personnel
• Order medications when needed and notify if supply below 7 days
• Notify supervisor if supply below 2 days and meds not received
• Verify medications against MARs and report discrepancies
• Store medications properly and separate from oral meds
• Date vials/bottles per protocol and track uses
• Maintain medical charts and complete records within 48 hours
• Assist residents with ADLs and daily care tasks
• Attend staff trainings and in-services
