Job summary

Senior Lifestyle is seeking a Medication Technician to safely administer prescribed medications and provide personal and nursing care to residents in our Assisted Living community. You will follow MAR/TAR records, observe for changes, and collaborate with LPNs/RNs and supervisors.

Responsibilities include counting narcotics, stocking medications, documenting in daily logs, aiding ADLs, vital signs, and participating in staff trainings.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 1+ months of experience; Senior Living preferred.
• Current Medication Technician certification depending on state regulations.
• Acceptable proficiency in English for job duties and emergencies.
• Basic computer proficiency (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Supervise self-administered medication in accordance with regulations and MAR/TAR.
• Count and sign narcotics with approved personnel; report discrepancies.
• Order or notify when supply is low; notify supervisor of stock issues.
• Provide personal care (bathing, skin care, grooming, feeding, incontinence care).
• Provide general nursing care: vital signs, temp, BP, weight.
• Document in daily logs and communicate concerns to supervisor.
• Answer resident needs and assist with calls.
• Daily/weekly cleaning of medicine carts and restocking.
• Attend staff trainings and maintain medical charts within 48 hours.
