Job summary

Senior Lifestyle is seeking a Medication Technician to supervise resident medication administration in the Assisted Living Department. You will follow Federal & State regulations and company guidelines, assist with personal care, monitor vitals, and maintain accurate records.

Daily tasks include medication cart upkeep, MAR verification, and collaborative care with nursing staff. Qualifications include a High School diploma or GED, 1+ month experience (Senior Living preferred), and Current

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED, or related experience/training, or equivalent.
• 1+ month of experience; Senior Living preferred.
• Current Medication Technician certification, per state regulations.
• English proficiency to perform duties and communicate with supervisor and residents.
• Basic computer proficiency: Word, Excel, Outlook.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong time management and teamwork ability.
• Passion for helping seniors and strong patient-centered approach.

Responsibilities

• Supervise self-administered medication in Assisted Living per regulations and Senior Lifestyle guidelines.
• Count and sign narcotics with approved personnel; report discrepancies.
• Order meds/treatments or notify when supply is <7 days.
• Notify supervisor if supply is <2 days and not received.
• Verify medications against MAR; notify pharmacy/DH&W of discrepancies.
• Maintain proper storage of medications and separate from oral meds.
• Document information in daily log; assist residents with needs.
• Perform daily/weekly cleaning of med carts and restock as needed.
• Attend staff training and in-services; ensure medical charts are complete within 48 hours.
