Job summary

Senior Lifestyle is seeking a Medication Technician to supervise self-administered meds in the Assisted Living department and provide basic nursing care to residents. The role ensures regulatory compliance, accurate MAR/TAR usage, and proper storage and documentation of medications.

The ideal candidate holds a High School Diploma (or GED), 1+ month of senior living experience, and a state-appropriate Medication Technician certification.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; or 1–3 months related training/experience.
• 1+ months of experience in senior living preferred.
• Current Medication Technician certification depending on state regulations.
• English proficiency to perform duties and communicate with team.
• Basic computer skills: Word, Excel, Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Supervise self-administered medication in Assisted Living per regulations.
• Count and verify narcotics with authorized staff before handling keys.
• Order medications and treatments from the pharmacy as needed.
• Notify supervisor about supply shortages and discrepancies.
• Provide personal care and general nursing care (vital signs, ADLs).
• Maintain medical charts and daily logs within required timelines.
