Job summary

Cedarhurst Living is seeking an Executive Director to lead a senior living community in Missouri. You will oversee daily operations, maintain regulatory compliance, and drive financial and occupancy performance while guiding department heads and staff.

You will build relationships with residents, families, and partners, ensuring exceptional care and a thriving community culture. A strategic, hands-on leader with 2–3 years of management in senior living is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 2–3 years of management experience preferred, senior living experience strongly desired.
• Applicable state licensure is required.
• CPR or BLS certification preferred.
• Experience with accounting functions such as accounts payable/receivable, posting ledgers, balancing and reconciling accounts.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs, web platforms, EHR, and HR systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the community including P&L, marketing, sales, compliance, customer satisfaction, financial performance, and workforce quality.
• Make business decisions aligned with company interests and employee well-being.
• Supervise 3–5 managers and 30–50 staff across multiple departments.
• Schedule management using Attendance on Demand to meet labor budgets and guidelines.
• Provide direction, coordination, and evaluation of each department.
• Foster a professional environment reflecting company values.
• Lead sales efforts with tours and follow-ups to sustain occupancy growth.
• Ensure regulatory compliance with all agencies.
• Hire, orient, and evaluate staff; conduct performance reviews.
• Participate in corporate meetings and community networking.
