Job summary

Monarch Communities is seeking a part-time Weekend Evening Cook to prepare and serve meals in a senior living community. You will maintain sanitation, proper inventory, and accurate records while meeting dietary needs and texture-modified foods as directed.

Ideal candidates will have ServSafe certification (or willingness to obtain), at least 1 year of food preparation experience, and a high school diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• ServSafe certification or willingness to obtain
• 1 year of food preparation experience including handling full-line menus and special diets
• High school diploma or GED accepted

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve quality meals
• Meet special dietary needs and texture-modified foods as directed
• Ensure compliance with record keeping, food safety and risk management requirements
• Monitor food prep, storage and handling to HACCP, labeling and storage protocols
• Maintain accurate temperature logs for hot/cold foods, refrigerators and freezers
• Participate in in-service trainings as scheduled
• Ensure compliance with Federal, State, and local regulations and community policies
• Other duties as assigned
