Job summary

Monarch Southbury is seeking a part-time Cook to prepare meals for residents and guests, under the Director of Culinary Services. You will study recipes, set up menus, and ensure high quality dishes with strict sanitation and record-keeping.

The role requires ServSafe certification (or ability to obtain), 1 year of related experience, and a high school diploma or GED. You'll contribute to safe, compliant kitchen operations and a complete menu for the community.

Qualifications

• ServSafe certification required or able to obtain.
• 1 year related experience including food preparation and special diets.
• High school diploma or GED accepted.
• Organizational and time-management skills; good judgment and problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve quality meals.
• Meet special dietary needs and textured foods as directed.
• Maintain records, ensure HACCP compliance and accurate labeling.
• Monitor storage, temperatures and food safety regulations.
• Attend in-service training and comply with policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
