Job summary

Monarch Communities is seeking a dedicated food service assistant to prepare and serve meals, maintain sanitation, and keep accurate records. You will rotate inventory and ensure regulatory compliance in our dining operations.

We require ServSafe certification or ability to obtain, at least one year of related experience, a high school diploma or GED, and availability to work at least one weekend day. Competitive hourly pay and health benefits offered.

Qualifications

• ServSafe certification required or ability to obtain prior to start.
• At least 1 year of food preparation experience including menu items and special diets.
• High school diploma or GED accepted.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills with good judgment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve quality meals.
• Meet special dietary needs and prepare texture-modified foods as directed.
• Maintain accurate records, and ensure compliance with food safety and risk management.
• Monitor food prep, storage and handling for HACCP, labeling and policy compliance.
• Maintain temperature logs for hot/cCold foods and storage units.
• Attend in-service trainings as scheduled.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state and local regulations and community policies.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
