Job summary

CSAA Insurance Group is seeking a Sr. Litigation Specialist (Remote) to own complex litigated auto and homeowners claims across the United States.

You will guide defense counsel, evaluate settlements, set authority levels, and actively participate in negotiations to achieve fair, timely resolutions while controlling defense costs and indemnity exposure. Responsibilities include developing discovery plans, coordinating with experts, reviewing liability and damages, and presenting recommendations

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, insurance or risk management, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
• High School diploma required.
• A proven experience handling insurance claims.
• Prior Senior Casualty experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Completes analysis of claim, including loss facts and applicable factors, creating a discovery plan for first and third-party claims.
• Directs defense counsel with authority for resolution and balance of defense costs and indemnity.
• Reviews liability, damages, coverage and risk to assess independent settlements.
• Collaborates with defense counsel to shape negotiation strategy and participate in mediations and settlement conferences.
• Authorizes and monitors outside counsel budgets and analyzes defense expenses using bill-review tools.
• Presents litigated case recommendations to local and executive management up to IELT level and secures top-level resolution authority.
