Job summary

You will review liability and damages, monitor outside counsel budgets, and present recommendations to executive management, with travel as needed for mediations and meetings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, insurance or risk management, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
• High School diploma required.
• Experience handling insurance claims; senior casualty experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Takes ownership of complex litigated claims involving auto and homeowners matters.
• Shapes claim strategy with defense counsel and evaluates settlement opportunities to manage indemnity exposure.
• Monitors outside counsel budgets and presents recommendations to management.
• Represents the organization in mediations and settlement conferences and ensures timely resolutions.
