Job summary

CSAA Insurance Group is seeking a Sr. Litigation Specialist to manage complex litigated claims across auto and homeowners matters in a remote, nationwide role.

You will shape strategy, coordinate with defense counsel, evaluate settlements and monitor defense costs to secure timely resolutions. Ideal candidates have a bachelor’s in business/insurance or risk management, substantial claims experience, and the ability to travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, insurance or risk management, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
• High School diploma required.
• A proven experience handling insurance claims.
• Prior Senior Casualty experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Completes analysis of claim, including loss facts and applicable factors; creates discovery plan with depositions, IMEs, and reconstruction for first/third-party claims.
• Directs defense counsel with authority for resolution; balances defense costs and indemnity.
• Reviews liability, damages, coverage, and risk for independent settlement decisions.
• Collaborates with defense counsel to strategize negotiations and participate in mediations and settlement conferences.
• Authorizes and monitors budget for outside counsel; analyzes defense expenses with bill review software.
• Prepares recommendations for litigated cases for IELT-level review with local and executive management.
• Secures authority up to the highest levels for resolution.
