Job summary

CSAA Insurance Group is seeking a Sr. Litigation Specialist to manage complex auto and homeowner litigated claims remotely across the United States. You will shape strategy, direct defense counsel, evaluate settlements, and control indemnity exposure while balancing defense costs with timely resolutions.

Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential. Required: bachelor's degree in business, insurance, or risk management and proven claims experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree plus related experience in insurance or risk management.
• High School diploma required.
• Proven experience handling insurance claims, especially senior casualty.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes claims, including loss facts and applicable factors.
• Creates discovery plan including depositions, IMEs, and accident reconstruction for auto/homeowner claims.
• Directs defense counsel, provides authority for settlement or trial, and balances defense costs with indemnity.
• Reviews liability, damages, coverage, and risk to assess settlements.
• Collaborates with defense counsel to develop negotiation strategy and represents the organization in mediations and settlements.
• Authorizes budgets for outside counsel and analyzes defense expenses.
• Prepares and presents case recommendations to local and executive management; secures authority for resolutions up to the highest levels.
