HEI Hotels and Resorts is hiring a Cook III at the Houston Grand Hotel – River Oaks location to prepare foods with consistent quality and support kitchen operations. The role emphasizes following recipe cards, maintaining proper temperatures, and coordinating with servers to ensure timely service.

The ideal candidate will have hotel kitchen experience, strong dexterity, and the ability to lift up to 100 pounds.

Qualifications

• Finger/hand dexterity to operate food machinery.
• Ability to grasp, lift and/or carry up to 100 lbs.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food of consistent quality following recipe cards and standards.
• Start items in advance and manage par levels for shift coverage.
• Rotate and date perishables; maintain buffet stock and proper storage.
• Assist in controlling costs, waste, and proper usage of ingredients.
• Operate and clean kitchen equipment (fryers, broilers, ovens, steamers, mixers, slicers).
• Attend regularly and perform other duties as assigned.
