Job summary

Houston Grand Hotel - River Oaks in Houston, TX seeks an Executive Sous Chef to lead daily kitchen production, ensure quality, and maintain safety across restaurant and room service. The role requires strong leadership and hands-on management in a luxury hotel environment.

Responsibilities include managing staff, budgeting, menu costing, and stepping in for the Executive Chef when needed. A culinary education and 5+ years in hotel culinary operations are preferred.

Qualifications

• Two+ years of post high school education (culinary education desirable).
• Five+ years of related work experience in hotel or culinary operations.
• Advanced knowledge of food production, cost control, and F&B management.

Responsibilities

• Plan, supervise and coordinate daily production, preparation and presentation of all hotel food across restaurant and room service.
• Manage kitchen HR: hiring, scheduling, training, coaching, performance reviews and discipline as needed.
• Maintain sanitation, safety and equipment maintenance to meet standards and regulations.
