Job summary

HEI Hotels and Resorts is seeking a kitchen team member to prepare food to standard, stage items, and support daily kitchen operations in The Woodlands area. You will help maintain quality, temperature control, and station readiness across service periods.

Ideal candidates have restaurant or hotel experience, strong dexterity, and the ability to lift up to 100 lbs. The role requires reliable attendance and collaboration with servers and chefs to uphold service excellence.

Qualifications

• Hotel kitchen experience preferred.
• Dexterity to operate food machinery with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to grasp, lift and carry weights up to 100 lbs.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food of consistent quality per recipes and standards.
• Start items prepared ahead of time and avoid over-preparing.
• Rotate perishables and ensure proper temperatures.
• Check pars and plan mise en place for shifts.
• Keep buffet stocked and return unused items to storage.
• Assist with cost control and reducing food waste.
• Operate and clean kitchen equipment and stations.
