Job summary

HEI Hotels & Resorts is seeking a dedicated kitchen teammate for The Houston Grand - River Oaks. Prepare food of consistent quality and assist in daily kitchen functions to support service.

Hotel kitchen experience preferred; you will work with a team to maintain recipes, temperatures and cost controls. The role includes complimentary meals each shift, free parking, and opportunities for career development within HEI.

Qualifications

• Hotel kitchen experience or exposure preferred.
• Dexterity to operate kitchen machinery and tools.
• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs on a continuous basis.
• Clear verbal and written communication with team and servers.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food of consistent quality following recipes and standards.
• Set up and rotate food items, manage portioning and temperatures.
• Check pars and assist in maintaining buffet and storage organization.
• Maintain cleanliness and proper operation of kitchen equipment.
• Support in achieving cost control and waste reduction.
