Job summary

Qualifications

• Hotel experience preferred.
• Finger/hand dexterity to operate food machinery with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to grasp, lift and/or carry up to 100 lbs on a continuous schedule with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills; ability to adapt style for supervisors, coworkers, public, etc.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food of consistent quality following recipe cards and standards.
• Start items prepared ahead of time and manage quantities for shifts.
• Rotate perishables and ensure proper temperatures per HEI standards.
• Check pars for shift use and assist in buffet stocking and line setup.
• Return unused items to storage with proper date labeling.
• Assist in controlling food costs and reducing waste per standards.
• Operate and clean kitchen equipment (fryer, broiler, stove, steamer, etc.).
• Be present and reliable to work on a regular basis.
