Job summary

Big Cedar Lodge is seeking a kitchen professional to prepare and portion foods for our resort's food and beverage outlets. You will handle knives safely, operate all kitchen equipment, and lead the kitchen in the absence of the Sous Chef.

The role requires 2–4 years of related experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and a valid driver’s license. You will also train new cooks and contribute to keeping a clean, efficient kitchen.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate degree in culinary field preferred or related certificate.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and portion foods for the resort's food and beverage outlets.
• Handle knives safely and operate kitchen equipment efficiently.
• Assume kitchen lead in the absence of the Sous Chef.
• Follow kitchen hierarchy from Chefs to Cook levels.
• Train new cooks and maintain kitchen cleanliness.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
