Job summary

ARCO Design/Build is seeking a Superintendent to lead field operations for tilt-wall construction projects. The role focuses on keeping projects on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with specifications.

You will manage manpower, safety programs, subcontractors, and project documentation on site. The ideal candidate has 5+ years as a lead superintendent, strong leadership, decision-making, and excellent communication skills to coordinate across teams, owners, and architects.

Qualifications

• 5+ years as a lead superintendent on life sciences construction projects.
• Able to make decisions under tight deadlines.
• Able to organize people, tools, and equipment and manage multiple activities.
• Demonstrated leadership and conflict resolution abilities.
• Commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.
• Proficient with Word, Excel, Outlook and scheduling programs.

Responsibilities

• Attend post-award review to receive project details and preplanning.
• Prepare construction activity schedules and staffing plans.
• Ensure adequate manpower to meet schedules.
• Direct and supervise craft superintendents/foremen.
• Coordinate subcontractors with project schedules.
• Review change orders with project manager and document costs.
• Maintain daily project diary and progress reports.
• Enforce safety and quality control policies across the project.
• Communicate progress to owner representatives and project management.
