ARCO a Family of Construction Companies in Richmond, VA seeks a seasoned Superintendent with 5+ years leading tilt-up construction on large industrial projects. The role oversees field operations, schedules, budgets, safety, and quality, coordinating with subcontractors and the project team to meet milestones.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience as lead superintendent on tilt-up construction projects.
• Ability to make decisions under tight deadlines.
• Ability to organize people, tools, and equipment and plan/manage multiple activities.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with ability to address conflict.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook and project scheduling programs.
• Possess and maintain a current, valid driver’s license in your state of residence.

Responsibilities

• Attend the post award review meeting to receive project information and details for preplanning prior to construction.
• Prepare a schedule of construction activities and their sequence, organization structure, staff, and resources.
• Ensure adequate manpower to meet schedules.
• Analyze equipment requirements and provide necessary equipment to utilize manpower efficiently.
• Perform material and quantity estimates for each phase of work.
• Direct and control the total construction project to meet specs and schedule within budget.
• Direct and supervise craft superintendents and foremen in their duties.
• Communicate efficient construction techniques to assure quality and efficiency.
• Assist in shop drawings approvals, change orders, and progress reporting.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and owners to integrate work with schedules.
• Review change orders for costs, overhead, profit and time extensions.
• Prepare job progress and cost reports and review requisitions and invoices.
• Collaborate with owner representatives and architects as needed.
• Report progress and issues to the project manager.
