Job summary

ARCO Design/Build, Inc. is seeking a seasoned Superintendent to lead field operations on tilt-up projects in the greater Richmond area.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years as a lead superintendent on tilt-up construction and will manage project schedules, budgets, and quality while enforcing safety and company policies. You will coordinate subs, ensure manpower, prepare estimates, and report progress to the project manager.

Qualifications

• 5-25 years of experience as a lead superintendent on tilt-up construction projects (preferable on 100k sf+).
• Able to make decisions under tight deadlines.
• Able to organize people, tools, and equipment and plan/manage multiple activities.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with ability to direct others and handle conflict.
• Computer skills: Word, Excel, Outlook and project scheduling programs.
• Possess and maintain a current, valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Attend the post award review meeting to receive project information and details for preplanning prior to construction.
• Prepare a schedule of construction activities, the organization structure, staff, and the manpower and equipment requirements.
• Assure adequate manpower to meet construction schedules.
• Analyze equipment requirements and provide necessary equipment to utilize manpower efficiently.
• Perform material and quantity estimates for each phase of work.
• Direct and control the total construction project to meet specifications and schedules within budget.
