Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Life Safety Systems Representative to sell fire safety solutions within an assigned territory. You will promote products, qualify opportunities, and drive revenue by engaging with contractors and end users.

The role emphasizes strategic prospecting, presentations, and closing deals to meet quotas. The position requires strong communication, the ability to read blueprints, and experience in electrical or related industries.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or engineering preferred or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 3 years successful sales experience in Electronic or similar industry.
• Strong motivation and drive to succeed.
• Ability to quickly identify and qualify opportunities.
• Experience reading blueprints and wiring diagrams desirable.
• Experience working with electrical contractors is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Establish contact with prospects and qualify potential buyers by scheduling calls and following up on leads.
• Develop a sales strategy to gain customer understanding of product offerings and prioritize opportunities.
• Conduct seminars and demonstrations to generate leads.
• Prepare proposals, make presentations, and follow up to close sales.
• Interface with district operations to deliver and improve service delivery.
• Deliver sales against an assigned quota.
• Maintain established accounts through regular customer contact.
• Report progress and supply metrics to operation and corporate teams weekly and monthly.
• Participate in trade shows and events to increase sales and enhance the company's image.
