Job summary

Northeast Georgia Health System seeks a Manager of Employee Leaves & Accommodations to lead the Leave Team, ensure compliance with FMLA, ADA, PWFA, and partner with a third‑party administrator as needed.

This role oversees light duty, leave, and accommodations processes, develops training, analyzes trends, and maintains strict confidentiality while delivering high‑quality customer support to staff and management.

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of leave of absence laws and regulations (FMLA, ADA, PWFA).
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Leads the Leave Team to include day-to-day operational support, hiring, onboarding, training, performance reviews and performance management.
• Establishes workflows and procedures for an efficient, personalized experience for those served.
• Develops and oversees return-to-work processes for employees on FMLA or other leaves.
• Manages complex leave cases and provides expert guidance on sensitive situations.
• Manages relationships with third-party administrator and vendors for leaves, accommodations, and disability programs.
• Conducts case management meetings with leaders and HR partners on open leave cases.
• Oversees interactive processes for reasonable accommodations and return-to-work assignments.
• Analyzes undue hardship or indefinite leave status to minimize risk and ensure legal compliance.
• Develops training and educational tools on leave policies and procedures.
• Maintains up-to-date knowledge of regulations related to leaves and accommodations.
• Identifies improvement opportunities and conducts risk assessments around leaves and accommodation processes.
• Analyzes data to identify trends and opportunities for education and improvement.
• Ensures confidentiality and security of employee data.
