Job summary

Northeast Georgia Health System seeks a Manager, Employee Leaves & Accommodations to lead the Leave Team, oversee FMLA, STD, LTD, military leave, and ADA/PWFA accommodations, and ensure compliance and excellent customer support for NGHS employees.

This role manages relationships with the third-party leave administrator, develops training, and analyzes leave data to improve processes while protecting employee confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Minimum five (5) years in HR with at least three (3) years in absence management.
• HR certification (SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP, SPHR/PHR) preferred.
• Two (2) years of managerial experience preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of leave laws and regulations including FMLA, ADA, PWFA.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Leads the Leave Team with day-to-day operations, onboarding, training, and performance management.
• Establishes workflows and procedures to create an efficient, personalized service experience.
• Develops and oversees return-to-work processes for employees.
• Handles complex leave cases and provides expert guidance on sensitive situations.
• Manages relationships with third-party administrators and vendors for leave, accommodations, and disability programs.
• Conducts case management meetings to update leaders and HR partners on open cases.
• Provides case management related to reasonable accommodations and interactive processes.
• Analyzes leave data to identify trends, gaps, and improvement opportunities.
• Maintains confidentiality and security of employee data.
