Job summary

JPMorgan Chase's Consumer and Community Banking division seeks a Senior Lead Site Reliability Engineer to set quality gates across requirements, design, secure coding, testing, releases, and post-production monitoring to ensure reliability, performance, security, and observability.

You will drive SRE practices such as defining SLIs/SLOs, error budgets, incident response, and automation to reduce toil, while mentoring teams and collaborating with global stakeholders during critical incidents

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience supporting critical applications in large-scale environments.
• Strong SDLC and secure development practices with objective quality gates and release readiness standards.
• Hands-on SRE experience including SLIs/SLOs, incident management, and post-incident reviews.

Responsibilities

• Set quality gates across requirements, design, secure coding, testing, releases and production monitoring.
• Turn business goals into testable requirements and enforce Definition of Done before release.
• Define and manage SLIs/SLOs and error budgets, reflecting them in roadmaps and plans.
• Lead operational readiness reviews, assess delivery risk, and drive fixes via root-cause analysis and automation.
• Improve logging, monitoring and alerting to make dashboards actionable and reduce noise.
• Own CI/CD controls (security, reliability, testing, change management) and drive automation to reduce toil.
• Lead and participate in major incident response, run post-incident reviews, and drive improvements.
