EY is seeking a senior leader to manage government and public sector engagements related to disaster recovery funding, including FEMA, HUD CDBG-DR and ARPA, with emphasis on compliance and grants management. This role requires extensive experience and professional designation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, law, finance, business or related field.
• 9+ years’ related compliance, audit, financial management, disaster recovery and/or emergency management experience.
• Professional designation such as CPA, CFE, or CEM.
• Excellent project and time‑management skills and the ability to prioritize when working on multiple engagements.
• Strong negotiation and influencing skills, and the confidence to communicate complex technical concepts to a wide range of audiences.
• A quantifiable history of business development success.
• The ability and willingness to travel and work in excess of standard hours when necessary.
• Access to reliable transportation to/from the EY office and client sites. A driver’s license is strongly recommended as ride‑share and public transportation options may not be available in all locations

Responsibilities

• Lead engagement teams to provide government and public sector clients with a variety of services associated with the management and compliance of disaster recovery funding made available through complex grant and stimulus programs (FEMA, HUD CDBG‑DR, ARPA).
• This may include managing large projects for states and local governments, developing client relationships, establishing and implementing engagement processes, working with stakeholders to resolve complex compliance issues, and overseeing teams who monitor federally funded projects.
• Additionally, lead business and practice development initiatives.
• Travel and presence at client sites, along with in‑office presence, will be required.
