Job summary

EY in the United States seeks a leader for its Forensics Insurance and Federal Claims Services practice, focusing on disaster recovery funding and compliance for government and public sector clients. You will guide engagement teams, interact with local governments, and ensure programmatic compliance across complex grant programs.

The role emphasizes strong project management, negotiation, and leadership, with travel to client sites and in-office presence required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, finance, emergency management or related field.
• 5+ years related compliance, audit, financial management, disaster recovery and/or emergency management experience, ideally with a government agency or professional services firm.
• Achieved a professional designation, such as CPA, CFE, or CEM.
• Relevant disaster management experience, preferably within a professional services firm.
• Excellent project management skills and the ability to prioritize when working on multiple engagements.
• Strong negotiation and influencing skills, and the confidence to communicate complex technical concepts to a wide range of audiences.
• The ability and willingness to travel and work in excess of standard hours when necessary.
• Access to reliable transportation to/from the EY office and client sites. A driver’s license is strongly recommended as ride share and public transportation options may not be available in all locations.

Responsibilities

• Work with engagement teams to provide government and public sector clients with services related to disaster recovery funding management and compliance (FEMA, HUD CDBG-DR, ARPA).
• Lead interactions with local governments to support project development and verify compliance and programmatic requirements.
• Manage teams overseeing monitoring of federally funded projects and drive client relationships across multiple engagements.
