Job summary

EY is seeking a professional to join its Forensics Insurance and Federal Claims Services practice in the US. You will support government and public sector clients in managing disaster recovery funding, including FEMA and HUD CDBG‑DR programs, often leading multi‑jurisdiction projects and coordinating with state and local authorities.

You will travel to client sites, collaborate with engagement teams, and ensure strict compliance and quality delivery across engagements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, law, finance, business, emergency management or related field.
• 2+ years of related compliance, audit, financial management, disaster recovery and/or emergency management experience.
• Pursuit or attainment of CPA, CEM, or CFE designation is preferred.
• Strong organization and time-management skills and ability to prioritize multiple engagements.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Willingness to travel and work beyond standard hours when necessary.
• Reliable transportation and a driver's license is strongly recommended.

Responsibilities

• Work with engagement teams to provide government and public sector clients with services related to management and compliance of disaster recovery funding.
• Manage large projects for states and local governments and interact with local governments to support project development.
• Verify compliance requirements and participate in monitoring federally funded projects; travel to client sites and in-office presence required.
